amazing guitar solos, big catchy hooks and great inspiring Christcentered lyrics. Love it! On this album the band has went back to the sound they had on Glory To My King.
Guitars are more upfront and there are almost no symphonic influences. Christian also sings better than ever and all the musicians shine. Production is excellent and overall it is a worldclass album. I like it a lot and give it a 4+ rating.
References: A must have for fans of melodic guitar shredding metal! Especially if you are into bands like Narnia, Stryper, Whitecross, Europe, Yngwie Malmsteen etc.

The Melodic Metal masters from Sweden are back again with another quality album! It is filled to the bone with
great hooks, amazing guitarplay and encouraging Christcentered lyrics. Compared to the band's
first album the music is now much more symphonic, sounding like a mix of Glory To My King and the band Flagship.
This is an excellent solid album, but I however still enjoy their debut album more, since it was more melodic and direct and less symphonic. But a very good albums still, but
be aware though, that you might have to listen to it a few times before you can really enjoy it, cause it is a different sound and needs repeated listens to really
grow on you. Lyrics are totally Christcentered and I really enjoy that the band stands strong for what they believe in. So all in all an excellent album from a worldclass band.
References: Recommended for fans that enjoy both melodic metal and symphonic rock, especially fans of bands like Flagship, Kerry Livgren and Kansas will totally enjoy this album.

Yes! Finally we got to hear an album in the veins of Narnia's classic Long Live The King, cause that is what this album sounds like.
Christian Liljegren (ex Narnia, Divinefire, Audiovision) handles the vocals and guitar virtouso Tommy Johansson (ReinXeed)
handles the guitars giving us tons of amazing guitar solos. Fantastic combination and the result is Melodic Metal
of the highest caliber! Other band members are Olov Andersson from Audiovision on keyboards, Rickard Gustafsson from Pantokrator on drums
and Stefan Käck on bass.
The whole album is filled to the bone with fantastic guitar solos and cathy hooks.
This truly is melodic metal at its finest! Lyrics are also great with encouraging and inspiring lyrics straight from the Bible.
The whole album is worldclass quality through and through and there isn't a bad track. The is a fantastic album without a doubt the best metal album of 2010!

Grave Declaration are finally here with their anticipated full length album, and it has definately been worth the wait!
Cause here we have an excellent Atmospheric Black Metal Praise album! Yes, this is praise in the brutal vein. Last track is even a church psalm in Norway
that is also sung in Norwegian. Not an album for the faint of heart, but for those that want to praise God loudly with brutal music that is an album you don't wanna miss!
Musically this is top quality album and almost a classic. The band has managed to do a brutal, but yet melodic and atmospheric album. Excellent album both musically and lyrically and definately a most have for anyone into atmospheric black metal.
References: Fans of Atmospheric Black Metal like Antestor, Vaakevandring etc will totally enjoy this excellent album!
If you are not familiar with these bands I can also highly recommend it to all that are into secular bands like Dimmu Borgir.

Thrashers Grave Forsaken is back with their first fullength. Really liked their demo so it was with big anticipation I put the disc into the cdplayer.
Unfortunately it wasn't as good as I had expected. The band still plays thrash but there are just way too many slow parts that make me lose interest. They really need to speed up to coming releases! Faster for the Master, you know.
The faster tracks are also their best. Really like their Biblical lyrics but musically they need to speed up. Grave Forsaken truly have
lots of potential which they really showed on their demo and if they add more speed, harmonies and variation next album can be really interesting.

GRAVE FORSAKEN - Grave Forsaken

Grave Forsaken is a thrash band hailing from Australia. They do not play pure thrash though, but also mix in some slower doom parts into their sound. This make the music varied. In their tunes they also have many guitarsolos which always is a big plus in my ears. The vocalist has a good powerful voice that fits thrash well. Lyrically it is very clear that the band focus on Jesus and what he did for us on the cross: "Death, death, death on the cross. Christ died for our sin. Death, death, death on the cross. Salvation comes through him." The production on this demo cd is ok even if the drums could sound better and have some more punch. To sum it is a really good demo from a promising thrash band. I give it a 3+.

Last Summer Guardian did an 80s flashback gig at Cornerstone! The result is this cd. It includes melodic metal hits like The Rain, Power of Love, Shoeshine Johnny, Curiosity Killed The Cat, the beautiful ballad Never Say Goodbye and more... They have also included a couple of tunes from their Bottle Rocket album.
It's really nice to hear them do the metaltunes again and I like some of the Bottle Rocket stuff as well so I'll give this cd a 3-rating. Check it out if you like Guardian's albums Fire And Love and Miracle Mile. I'm sure Bottle Rocket fans will like it as well. As all the Cornerstone Live cds this is a limited edition only so you better pick up your copy quick before it's out of print...
References: Guardian fans will definately enjoy this cd! It's groovy and melodic hardrock/metal with Jamie's cool raspy voice. Guardian's sound is also reminding of the secular bands Winger and Extreme so I'm sure fans of these bands will enjoy this cd as well.

GROMS - Ascension

Groms was a great classic Death Metal band from Norway. They were one of the Christian pioneers in Norway of this genre. Ascension is their first and only release that has been out of print for years.
But now it is finally available again! Nordic Mission has made an excellent work with remastering and packaging the CD. The sound is now fuller which makes these classic tracks even better than
the original release. An extra disc with their demo "Turn" has also been added as well. Also enjoy the extensive book that besides the lyrics also features plenty of cool pictures and liner notes
with the band's history and more. Very cool release for fans of Schaliach, early Mortification etc. Highly recommended!

GUARDIAN - The Yellow And Black Attack Is Back!

This is a cover album of the first Stryper album! Yeah, that's right, Guardian has covered the whole album. (The first version with 6 tracks) And the good thing with this album is that it's really close to the original! Wow, this is how a cover album should be done, close to the original but with some extra finesses thrown in. This is exactly what Guardian have done. Even the vocals reminds of Stryper with Jamie Rowes raspy voice. Jamie does a good job with the singing but when it comes to the high tones his voice can't match Michael Sweets (but who can??).
Personally I still prefer the original versions but Guardian does a great job in covering these classics. Anyway a good melodic metal album this is, that surely will please your ears and makes you wanna sing along loud'n'clear with the yellow and blacks that started it all. Melodic metallers and especially Stryper fans are gonna love this album.
