Wow! Michael Sweet set's the tone right from the start with a 20 seconds scream and then it is full speed through the whole opening track Transgressor. This is Metal to the bone just as it should be. Stryper is a quality band that delivers album after album of the highest quality. The Final Battle is no exception, but it is however a grower, so it needs a couple of spins before it sinks in and you really can enjoy the tracks full on. Lyrics are pointing to the only one that truly can save us - Jesus that is. Michael manages to make some of his best screams ever and the drum sound has never sound better. As always with Stryper there are also tons of catchy hooks, big choruses and great guitar solos by Michael and Oz to enjoy. Together with the solid drumming and bass play by Robert and Perry this is quality to the bone. This is a must have for any metalhead and definitely my pick for the best Metal album 2022.
