This is a very cool debut album from the all-star-band featuring Guy Ritter, Gary Lenaire and Eric Mendez from Tourniquet and David Husvik from Extol! The fifth member of the band is Anna Sentina on bass. Wow, with a lineup like that it can't be other than great. And it certainly is. Top quality metal throughout with outstanding shredding guitar solos and solid drum play. Something that strikes me is how much I have missed Guy Ritter's voice! He sings great and truly has an unique voice. A great thing with Flood is their heavy Tourniquet influence (RIP Ted Kirkpatrick, we miss you) and the album sounds like it had been recorded just after Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance. It is both fast and slow, heavy, melodic and progressive just as Tourniquet. With such a strong solid debut the future looks awesome for Flood and I can't wait to hear next release!
