If you have problems to listen to the programs you can check that "Buffer at least 60s before playing" is marked in the RealAudio preferences. (It's located under view - preferences - connection)


WHAT  DO  I  NEED  TO  LISTEN?
All you need to listen to our programs is a RealAudio player. You can get one for free called Real Audio Player Basic at www.real.com (You might need to search for it a little though since RealAudio seems to hide their free player so people buy the plus version instead.)


CAN  I  REQUEST  TUNES?
Yeah, of course, just tell us which christian metal tunes you want to hear and we'll try to play them ASAP.


IS  IT  A  PROFIT  RADIO  STATION?
No we are totally nonprofit and don't get a cent for our work with our programs which we do on our sparetime.


ARE  YOU  ACCEPTING  DEMOS,  CD'S  ETC?
Yeah we do! We would love to hear from you if you play some kind of Christian Hardrock/Metal (melodic/heavy/speed/thrash/doom/unblack/death etc). Just send in you demos and cds to us and we will review it and spread the news about your band here in Sweden. Our adress is as follows...

HOW  DO  I  VOTE??
All you have to do is to pick out your 3 favourites of the 15 tunes we present and then fill in this form And if you don't know how the tunes sound you can always listen to them first at the soundpage.


WHY  DO  YOU  ONLY  PLAY  CHRISTIAN  METAL?
The regular Metal bands get enough of coverage in other metal radio shows, but the Christian Metal bands are unfortunately unknown to many, that's something we want to change, that's why we stick to Christian Metal only.


WHY  SO  MANY  OLD  TUNES  ON  THE  CHART?
Well, that's because many metal classics were recorded in the late 80s and early 90s. It would be a shame to not include these awesome tunes. Even if the music is some years old the tunes still shreds and that's what counts!

We the producers do choose the new tunes, but you can wish some of your favourites and we might choose them as well.


WHAT'S  THE  PURPOSE  BEHIND  METAL  COUNTDOWN?
Our purpose is first of all to spread the good news about Jesus thru Christian Metal so more metalheads come to know Christ, so they can be saved for eternity. That has always been and will always be the mainreason behind our programs. We totally respect though if you don't share our belief, and since we stick to real Hardrock/Metal music only I'm sure any metalhead will enjoy our programs, no matter what you believe.

Then we also want to spread the news about all the awesome Christian Metal bands that are out there, so more people come to know them and start to listen to them. So many people thinks that all Christian music sounds lame or wimpy, but we want to show people that there are many good and talented Christian Metal bands out there, bands that you don't wanna miss! That's why we try to provide you with some of the very best tunes in Christian Metal - both past and present. Our goal musically is simply to be the Ultimate Christian Metal Chart with the very best in Christian Metal.
